CELEBRATING OUR COLLECTIVE HISTORY

Through song, dance, and storytelling, we honor the pioneers whose histories have often gone untold, including the indigenous people who were present in Utah before settlers arrived.

A Pioneer Day Concert Collective History

On July 22, 2022, a monument was erected at This Is The Place Heritage Park honoring African American pioneers who were part of the vanguard pioneer company that first entered the Salt Lake Valley. At this concert, we honor these individuals by telling their stories and letting their legacy remind us to expand our definition of what a pioneer is.
